Anxiety is a learned behavior. We don’t commonly associate it with learning, but more with a situation. However, we have learned to feel fear or panic in certain situations. The learning is so subtle that we are unaware of how we learned to dread a test, social situations, small places, going over certain highway places, etc. Unconsciously we have learned to associate the things that bring us anxiety with a stress response. Over time, this response has been amplified by the subconscious mind to the point that they are irrational and can interfere with normal living. Anything learned can be unlearned. My Approach

I offer a short, twenty minute telephone consultation to determine if hypnosis will provide the relief you seek.  If utilizing hypnosis as a tool for change will benefit you, we will schedule an initial appointment.

During the initial appointment I will ask many questions to get a better understanding of your goals for change. The information I obtain will help me to develop a program tailored to you and your expected outcomes for change. I’ll answer any questions you may have regarding hypnosis and what to expect.

I will guide you into the state of hypnosis where you will experience deep relaxation and receive suggestions to support the changes you want to make to your behaviors, thoughts and or feelings.

While under hypnosis you will feel a wonderful peaceful feeling. I will “count you up” and gently bring you back to your fully conscious state.  We will do a little talking about your experience, observations and realizations.  I will use the information I have gained from this session to design an individualized program tailored just to you. 

While there are those rare people who only need one session, most issues require a minimum of  three sessions to seven sessions. Depending upon your goals, we may work together over the course of many months to create the transformation you desire.

You may also be asked to complete tasks between sessions (keep notes about what thoughts pop up)  and undertake some actions pertinent to your desired outcomes.

Do You Take Insurance

No. I do not take insurance. However, I do accept credit cards and providing you keep a credit card on file, I can auto-bill monthly helping you to spread out your payments to be more budget friendly.

How Long Are My Sessions?

Most sessions are between an hour and an hour and a half. Some may be less, some a little more. Advise me in advance if you are needing to be more time conscious.

Can I Bring My Spouse, Friend, Roommate, etc. ?

They can to come to the appointment with you. I have a comfortable waiting area with magazines. They are welcome to hang out and read while you are in your session.

I  Thought Hypnosis Cured  Me in One Session?

Unfortunately, there are many people who will make the claim that issues can be resolved in one session. Hypnotherapy often relies on supporting sessions and repetition to help facilitate change.

How Many Sessions Will It Take To Achieve Results?

I am committed to quick, lasting and effective change. The number of sessions depends upon the issue you are addressing. The needs of each individual vary.  Expect a minimum of three sessions and as many as six or seven, depending upon your issue.

How Long Have You Been Doing This?

I learned self-hypnosis in graduate school to help me pass my statistics class.  I received my certification  as a Master Hypnotherapist in 2003.  Since that time, I have added several certifications furthering my education to assist clients.
